Seashells on the Seashore
Shells in the sand on Mackenzie Beach in Tofino. Tofino is one of my all-time favourite places on the island (maybe even in the world). If you’ve never been, I highly recommend checking it out!
Shoreline
The lovely Willows Beach in Victoria. I’ve been here many times and it never fails to disappoint.
Oh Buoy
A mini buoy wrapped in dry seaweed on the beach in Seal Bay. Every time I go to the beach, I always look forward to finding new and exciting things along the shore.
Heavenly Haven
This was the location of one of my college ecology labs and I couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. We got to visit so many special places in the valley for fieldwork and this was one of my absolute favorites.
Sticks and Stones
At Goose Spit, there are driftwood posts lining the shore separating the road from the beach. Someone had placed rocks in between a couple of the posts, and it looked so beautiful that I couldn’t resist snapping a shot.
Home is Where the Heart Is Pt. 1
(1 of 2) Heart-shaped rock in the bright summer afternoon light on the North Island.
Home is Where the Heart Is Pt. 2
(2 of 2) Heart-shaped rocks against the setting sun on the North Island. So many great memories!
Tidally Beautiful
These tidal pools on the East Coast looked otherworldly. I probably spent a good hour exploring the pools, taking photos, and just admiring their beauty.
Juxtaposition
Also taken on the East Coast, the sharp contrast of these two sand patterns on a beach in PEI was one of the most interesting sights I saw during the trip.
Beach Bliss
Low tide, blue skies, and beautiful summer sunshine, could it get any better?
Flying High
Stormy, windy days at the Spit brings the kiteboarders to the shores. It’s always nice surprise to head down to the water and see them out and about.
Raindrops on Lenses and Waves Upon Beaches
The rain was coming down so fast that I couldn’t keep it off the lens, but I actually really love the effect of the raindrops in this one. Also, the waves crashing against the driftwood posts was pretty neat.
